If even a microscopic grain of sand bypasses the intake and enters the combustion chamber, it acts like coarse sandpaper between the piston and sleeve. Dual-Stage Filtration for Absolute Maximum Protection

In 1/8th scale off-road competition, the dual-stage filter system is the absolute industry standard. These highly effective filters utilize two completely separate foam elements:

• The Outer Foam: This less dense layer catches heavy dirt, flying mud, and large sand particles. It is typically left dry or only very lightly oiled to prevent the filter from instantly clogging in extremely dusty conditions.

• The Inner Foam: This highly dense layer is heavily saturated with premium air filter oil. It acts as the final, impenetrable barrier, physically trapping even microscopic silt and pollen before it can reach the carburetor venturi.

The entire foam assembly is securely mounted to the carburetor using a highly flexible, heat-resistant rubber boot (neck) secured with a tight zip-tie to prevent it from vibrating loose.

Pre-Oiled Replacement Foams and High-Tack Filter Oil
