Turnbuckle Wrenches
RC Turnbuckle Wrenches for Precise Camber and Toe Adjustments
Welcome to the Turnbuckle Wrenches category at RUDDOG.eu. Adjusting your camber and toe angles is one of the most critical and frequently performed setup changes at the racetrack. RC turnbuckles feature reverse (left-hand) threads on one side and standard threads on the other, allowing you to lengthen or shorten the link simply by turning the center hex—without ever popping off the ball cups.
However, if you reach for a standard pair of household pliers to do this job, you will instantly chew up and destroy the delicate finish on your expensive titanium or aluminum turnbuckles. By using a professional, tightly toleranced turnbuckle wrench, you protect your hardware while dialing in your alignment down to the millimeter. Explore our selection of high-precision setup wrenches from Revolution Design (RDRP), JConcepts, Team Associated, and RUDDOG Products.
Precision Fit to Protect Your Hardware
Our RC turnbuckle wrenches are CNC-machined to fit perfectly snug around the center square or hex of industry-standard turnbuckles. Manufactured from hardened tool steel or premium 7075-T6 aluminum, these wrenches engage the linkage without any slop. This ensures you can apply maximum torque without the tool slipping off. Your expensive, often color-anodized Lunsford or Factory Team titanium links remain completely scratch-free and retain their pristine factory look!
Pro Tip: Several of our premium wrenches feature an angled or offset head, allowing you to easily reach stubbornly placed steering links hidden deep underneath your front shocks.
Finding the Right Size for Your Scale
When selecting a turnbuckle wrench, make sure the jaw size (measured in millimeters) matches the turnbuckles equipped on your chassis:
3.0mm / 3.2mm: The undisputed standard sizes for almost all 1/10th scale touring cars, 2WD, and 4WD buggies.
4.0mm: Commonly used for heavier 1/10th scale models like Short Course Trucks and heavy-duty (HD) aftermarket turnbuckle kits.
5.0mm / 5.5mm: The heavy-duty sizes required for massive 1/8th scale buggies and truggies. These larger links require significant leverage to twist through the thick plastic rod ends.
Double-Ended Wrenches: Many of our most popular tools (like those from RDRP) feature a different size on each end (e.g., 3.0mm and 4.0mm), giving you multiple setup tools in one convenient package!
