Precision RC Setup Tools & Systems for Consistent Lap Times

A flawlessly assembled chassis equipped with the most expensive electronics on the market is completely useless if your suspension geometry is asymmetrical. Attempting to set your camber and toe angles "by eye" or by using a cheap plastic ruler is a guaranteed way to introduce "tweak" (unwanted asymmetrical chassis tension) into your car. The result: Your car will steer aggressively in one direction while pushing in the other, or it will violently spin out under heavy braking.

To ensure your RC car handles exactly as you intend, and to accurately reproduce the winning setup sheets of factory drivers, you need professional Setup Tools. We supply industry-leading measurement equipment from the most respected brands in the pit lane, including Revolution Design (RDRP), and RUDDOG Products.

Setup Boards: The Foundation of Every Measurement

The most common mistake made by amateur racers is attempting to tune their suspension directly on a folding pit table. Track tables are never 100% perfectly flat. A dedicated Setup Board crafted from warp-resistant acrylic, toughened glass, or carbon fiber provides your chassis with an absolute zero-reference plane. Only on a guaranteed dead-flat surface will your ride height gauges and droop blocks provide accurate, repeatable measurements.

Full Setup Systems (Setup Stations)

For the ultimate in suspension tuning, professional mechanics rely on complete setup systems (setup stations) machined from ball-bearing equipped aluminum or high-grade acrylic. Instead of measuring against a rubber tire, these systems bolt directly onto your chassis' wheel hexes. They allow you to simultaneously read and adjust the three most critical parameters of your suspension geometry down to precise degree fractions:

  • Camber: How much the tire leans into the corner to maintain maximum contact patch.

  • Toe: Whether the leading edge of the wheels points inward or outward (crucial for straight-line stability and turn-in response).

  • Caster: The angle of the front steering axis (dictates on-power steering and corner-exit stability).

Corner Weight Scales for Tweak Elimination

To completely eliminate unpredictable handling traits, elite racers utilize digital Corner Weight Scales. These highly sensitive 4-point scale systems measure much more than just the total weight of your vehicle; they display the exact gram-weight pushing down on each individual tire. If your buggy is applying 50 grams more pressure to the front-left tire than the front-right, it will never handle symmetrically in left versus right turns. By precisely adjusting the threaded spring collars on your shocks while the car is on the scales, you can perfectly balance the chassis, resulting in a car that remains incredibly neutral and predictable through high-speed chicanes.
